Croydon War Memorial

Croydon, Surrey

  

     

The memorial stands outside the Library on Katharine Street in central Croydon, it is a stone plinth adorned by casket, there is a cross attached at the top and it is flanked by a soldier of the East Surrey Regiment who is shown bandaging an arm wound, at the other side of the memorial is the statue of a mother with a child in her arms, she reaches out towards the soldier with a bandage in her hand.
