Location Information

Longueil is a village and commune 7.50 miles (12 kilometres) west of Dieppe, and lies north of the N.25 road from Dieppe to St. Valery-en-Caux. Buses run on this main road to Dieppe and St. Valery. In the churchyard, near the south-east corner, are the graves of 7 airmen; 5 belonging to the Royal Air Force, 1 to the Royal Canadian Air Force, and 1 to the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

1192828 Sergeant Ronald Edward Miles, Flight Engineer  in 78 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 13th June 1944, aged 23. Son of Edward Charles and Jessica Gertrude Miles; husband of Alice Irene Miles, of Hawtonville, Newark, Nottinghamshire.

423420 Flight Sergeant Stanley Allan Rae, Pilot in 78 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force, died 13th June 1944, aged 29. Son of William Michael and Lucy Caroline Rae, of Auckland City, New Zealand; husband of Thelma Alice Rae, of Grey Lynn, Auckland.

J/29415 Flying Officer Harry Sager, Navigator in 78 Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Force, died 13th June 1944, aged 23. Son of Moe and Mary Sager, of Montreal, Province of Quebec, Canada.

1625934 Sergeant Frank Edwin Spinks, Air Gunner in 78 Squadron, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, died 13th June 1944, aged 20. Son of Frank Alfred and Elsie May Spinks, of Southfields, Surrey.
