"Buffs Road" was the name given by the army, to a small lane which ran just to the north of Wieltje. This cemetery was made and used by fighting units, particularly the Royal Sussex Regiment and Royal Artillery. It was later extended after the armistice with graves from the surrounding battlefields, also after the armistice the grave of a Belgian soldier was removed. The cemetery also contains the grave of a British Officer who was previously buried in Brielen Churchyard.
