GENERAL DIRECTIONS: Dochy Farm is located 7km north-east of Ieper, on a road off the N332 Zonnebeeksweg.,take the Torhoutstraat from the main square until you reach a small roundabout, go first right into Basculestraat, at the end of this road is a cross roads and Zonnebekesweg is the left turn, continue for about 7km along this road into the village of Zonnebeke, you should take a left turn into Langemarkstraat, this street then changes its name into Zonnebekestraat, the cemetery can be found on the left hand side of this road.

 

Dochy Farm, which had been turned into a strong point by the Germans, was taken by the 4th New Zealand Brigade on October 4th, 1917. The cemetery itself was started after the armistice, when many isolated battlefield burials from the surrounding areas were concentrated here. Over two-thirds of the burials here are unidentified.
