The cemetery is named after the Brasserie opposite,  is actually a collection of Regimental Burial Grounds, there are now eight plots, varying in number from one grave to fourteen. For example, Plot 3 contains burials of the 22nd (French) Canadian Battalion. This cemetery is a fine example of a simple regimental burial ground, used by those units that were in the trenches in this area during the period 1915-1917 to bury their dead from day to day trench holding. The cemetery continued to be used throughout the war.
