GENERAL DIRECTIONS: From Ieper town centre take the Meenseweg (N8) towards Menen, 2.5km along there is a right turn onto Wulvestraat, after a further 1km is the left turn onto Schachteweidestraat, the cemetery is a further 2km along on the right hand side. Access to the cemetery is easy although parking is difficult.

Maple Copse was the name given by the army to a small plantation about 1km from the village of Zillebeke. This area was used by Advanced Dressing Stations and burials were made here both before and after the Battle of Mount Sorrel (June 1916); Sadly, during that battle and later fighting, many of the graves were obliterated, and therefore many of the burials here are unidentified.
