GENERAL DIRECTIONS: Take the N365 Ieper-Armentieres road to Mesen, after reaching Mesen continue for 2km and take a left turn on to rue St Yvon, continue along this road and the cemetery can be found on the right.
This cemetery is named after Brigadier-General C B Prowse, DSO, Somerset Light Infantry, who died in July 1916, while commanding the 11th Infantry Brigade. Despite the cemetery bearing his name, Prowse is actually buried in Louvencourt Military Cemetery on the Somme, in France.
Prowse Point was started in November 1914 by the 2nd Bn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers and 1st Bn. Royal Warwickshire Regiment, it continued in use until April 1918.
