GENERAL DIRECTIONS: The cemetery can be found 2km east of Nieuwpoort on the N367 which leads from Nieuwpoort to Sint Joris. From Nieuwpoort town centre, the William Deroolaan leads for 500m onto the N367 Brugsesteenweg and the cemetery is a further 1km along this road by the junction with the N356 Ramscappellestraat.
The front line between St Georges (now Sint Joris) near Ramscappelle, to the sea, was held by XV Corps from June-November 1917. The cemetery here was started in July 1917 and considerably enlarged after the armistice. The original burials now form most of Plot 1.
