GENERAL DIRECTIONS: From the station turn left and drive along M .Fochlaan to the roundabout, turn right and continue to the next roundabout, turn left into M. Haiglaan and drive to the traffic lights. Go straight over the lights and follow the N8 in the direction of Veurne. Continue through the village of Brielen and after 1km take the first right turn past the farm. This is Kapellestraat, the cemetery is approx 500m on the right. Access and parking are easy.
Solferino Farm was the name given by French troops to the farm which stood here in 1915, when they held the line in this area. The cemetery was started by Commonwealth troops in October 1917 and continued to be used until August 1918 by fighting units in this area.
