GENERAL DIRECTIONS: Take the N365 Ieper-Armentieres road to Mesen, after reaching Mesen continue for 2km and take a left turn on to rue St Yvon, continue along this road and park your vehicle outside Prowse Point Cemetery. Just further on is a right turn which is blocked to vehicles, walk down this road and into the wood, continue to follow the track through the wood and at the junction turn left and continue walking, Toronto Avenue Cemetery is a further 70m along this path.
Further Information: Although Access to the cemetery is easy, it should be noted that the wood can be very wet and boggy, nearest parking is at Prowse Point Cemetery and this is over 1km away.
This cemetery is named after one of the paths in Ploegsteert Wood, where the cemetery stands. The cemetery was started by men of the 3rd Australian Division in June 1917, during the Battle of Messines. Despite the cemeteries Canadian name, all of the graves are those of Australian soldiers.
