GENERAL DIRECTIONS: From Ieper station turn left into M. Fochlaan and go to the roundabout, take a right and continue to next roundabout, turn left and continue to next roundabout, then right into Oude Veurnestraat. Take the second left which is the N369 toward Diksmuide after passing Essex Farm Cemetery on your right continue for about 3km into the village of Boezinge, go right into Brugstraat, over the bridge and bear right into Langemarkseweg, at the next crossroads turn right into Kleinespoezelstraat, follow to the next crossroads and go left into Moortelweg, the cemetery is 100m on the right.

 

Further Information: Parking can be difficult, and there is a short walk along a grass path before reaching the cemetery.

 

For the majority of the war, this eastern side of the village of Boesinghe directly faced the German line; the cemetery here was started in July 1917 by the 38th Welsh Division, at a spot known to the troops as Caesar’s Nose, due to a jut in the line. The cemetery continued to be used until November 1917.
