GENERAL DIRECTIONS: Leave Ieper via the Lille Gate, and take the signs for Armentieres (N365), after 900m just before the railway crossing turn right onto Kemmelseweg (N331). Upon reaching the village of Kemmel the N331 continues for a further 4km towards Nieuwkerke. On reaching Nieuwkerke the road continues as Seulestraat, after 1.5km is a right turn into Eikelstraat, the cemetery is a further 1.4km along here on the left. Access and parking are easy.
This farm was used by the New Zealand Division as headquarters in May and June 1917. The cemetery here was started in May 1917 and was used by Field Ambulances and fighting units until April 1918. The area then passed into German hands for five months, before being retaken.
