Pargnan Churchyard

The village of Pargnan is in the Department of the Aisne, approximately 26 kilometres east of Soissons, just north of the river Aisne and the village of Oeuzuy. The churchyard is beside the church on a hill overlooking the village, and contains six Commonwealth war graves of the Great War. Of these, two are unidentified  The graves are located in the rear right hand side of the churchyard.

Gunner Bernard BRANDON. 26th Hvy. Bty. Royal Garrison Artillery. 25th Sept. 1914, aged 17. Son of Mrs. Jesse L. Brandon of 64 Holywell Road, Watford


Driver James Lionel Edward CHAMBERLAIN, Royal Field Artillery. 6th Oct. 1914, aged 22. Son of James Edward and Sarah Ellen Chamberlain of St. Catherine's Hill, Mortimer Common, Reading
