GENERAL DIRECTIONS: From Ieper take the N8 Menen Road, at the roundabout (Hellfire Corner) continue straight over for 7km until reaching the village of Geluveld, in the village go right onto Zandvoordestraat, at the end of this road go left into Kruisekestraat, the cemetery is a further 100m on the left hand side of the road. Access and parking are easy.

This village was lost to the Germans on 30th October 1914; it remained in enemy hands until it was finally retaken on 28th September 1918.

The cemetery is another good example of a concentration cemetery; it was not started until after the armistice, when graves were brought here from the surrounding battlefields, many of which fell in the battle for the village in the latter part of 1914. This cemetery has a large proportion of unidentified burials.
