General Directions:  St Germain-au-Mont-d'Or is a village 14.5 kilometres north of Lyon. The Cemetery is situated to the east of the village on the Rue du Souvenir, on a hill overlooking the River Saone. The Extension is situated on the west side of the Communal Cemetery.

The cemetery was begun in October, 1917, and used by the Rest Camp and the small British Hospital until November, 1919. There are now over 100, 1914-18 and over 10, 1939-45 war casualties commemorated in this site.

Further Information: The cemetery is often locked between December and March. The key is obtainable from the CWGC gardener, Mr Lacroise, at: 4 Rue Raymond Mathieu, 69650 St Germain-au-Mont d'Or. The gardeners home is at the other end of the village, a good 20 minutes walk from the cemetery.
