| Hirschland is situated 20 km north of
the town of Sarrebourg (département of Moselle). Behind the church in the
center of the village, apart from the graveyard, is a single tomb of an RAF
air gunner. The other crew members of this bomber which crashed on 24th
Febuary 1944 are buried in the cemetery of the neighbouring village of
Schalbach.
