| Sorneville is a village and commune 18
kilometres north-east of Nancy and some 3 kilometres south of
Moncel-sur-Sielle, a village on the road from Nancy to Chateau-Salins and
Sarreguemines. The communal cemetery is on the south-western side of the
village. At the eastern end of a row of French 1914-1918 War graves near the
centre of the western half of the cemetery is the grave of an airman who
belonged to the Royal Australian Air Force.
