A site of remembrance and comprehensive guide to the military cemeteries and memorials around the world Incorporating our extensive 1939-1945 Index with over 300 cemeteries currently featured
This site contains photographs of all 940 cemeteries in France and Belgium of 40 or more burials visited by Sidney C. Hurst whilst compiling his 1929 book "The Silent Cities", All of these cemeteries have been personally visited and photographed by ourselves, the site also contains many other military cemeteries and memorials from all around the world. We are continually updating and improving our images. Contributions to the site are always welcome, if you have a photograph of a cemetery or serviceman you would like to submit please contact us via the button on the right. Credit will of course be given.
